Dante Swanson, a 28-year-old male, was fatally shot on January 5, 2017, while sitting in his car in Chicago's Bronzeville neighborhood. The shooting occurred in the 700 block of East 48th Street, shortly after Swanson had finished his shift at FedEx. He was sitting in his vehicle when an unknown assailant approached and opened fire, striking him multiple times.
