On December 15, 2024, at approximately 5 p.m., Chesapeake Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 3100 block of Fairview Street, located within the Horizons at Indian River apartment complex. Upon arrival, officers discovered 18-year-old Donteryo Sincere Bunch suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, Bunch was pronounced dead at the scene.
