In the quiet city of Chesapeake, Virginia, a grim discovery shattered the peace of a neighborhood on March 23, 2015. Inside a home on Battery Park Road, police found the bodies of two women, one of whom was 57-year-old Denise Perdue. Perdue, a White female, and her friend, 62-year-old Laurel Sanchez, were both victims of a brutal homicide. The investigation would later reveal that Perdue had been shot in the back, while Sanchez had succumbed to a gunshot wound to the head.
