On November 26, 2024, a tragic shooting occurred on Spiers Landing Road in Cross, South Carolina, resulting in the deaths of 25-year-old Kee Juan D. Middleton and 16-year-old Shariff A. King, both residents of Cross. A third individual sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital; their current condition has not been publicly disclosed.
