On December 6, 2024, at approximately 3:00 PM, authorities responded to a welfare check request at 2675 Trotter Road in Florence, South Carolina. Upon arrival, they discovered the bodies of Carlus Lachaun Isaiah, 48, and his wife, Michaela Marche Isaiah, 37, inside their residence. Both individuals had sustained gunshot wounds. The Florence Police Department, in collaboration with the Florence County Coroner's Office, initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
