On a tragic Friday night in Florence, South Carolina, the life of 19-year-old Taniyah Lashai Wilson was cut short. On July 30, 2021, Wilson, a young Black female, was fatally wounded when shots were fired into the vehicle she was occupying at the intersection of Dunbarton and Hoffmeyer roads. The violence of that evening also claimed the life of her unborn child, a daughter she had named Londyn Lashai Johnson. At the time of her death, Wilson was 23 weeks pregnant.
