On November 20, 2024, in Philadelphia's West Oak Lane neighborhood, 76-year-old Linda Beeks and 77-year-old Clinton Quarles were fatally shot by their neighbor, 66-year-old Alvinn Berry, who then took his own life. The incident occurred around 4 p.m. as Beeks and Quarles returned home from grocery shopping.
