On December 24, 2024, at approximately 3:30 a.m., Cleveland police responded to a call reporting a gunshot wound victim near East 13th Street and Superior Avenue in downtown Cleveland. Upon arrival, officers found 42-year-old Anton McCall II lying unconscious in the street with a gunshot wound. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, McCall was pronounced dead at MetroHealth Medical Center.
