On December 24, 2024, 16-year-old Shamiya Walker was tragically shot and killed in Gastonia, North Carolina. The incident occurred in the 800 block of Barkley Street, where authorities responded to reports of gunfire and discovered Walker suffering from a fatal gunshot wound.
