Aliyah Gabrielle Nelson, an 11-year-old girl from Gastonia, North Carolina, passed away on September 17, 2014. Born on July 3, 2003, Aliyah was a native of Gaston County and a student at Holbrook Middle School in Lowell. She was the daughter of Curtis Von Nelson and Cheryl DeMarques.
