Brian Robert Thompson, 50, the CEO of UnitedHealthcare, was fatally shot on December 4, 2024, outside the New York Hilton Midtown in Manhattan. The attack occurred early in the morning as Thompson was en route to an annual investors' meeting for UnitedHealth Group, UnitedHealthcare's parent company.
