In the South Ward of Newark, on the afternoon of November 18, 2024, a young man's life was cut short by gunfire. Ahmid Yasim Nijee Richardson, a 22-year-old male, was in the vicinity of the 100 block of Renner Avenue near Bergen Street when the incident occurred.
