On the evening of November 26, 2024, at approximately 9:05 p.m., Prince George's County Police officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 12000 block of Silverbirch Lane in Laurel, Maryland. Upon arrival, they discovered 58-year-old Jerome Stocks, a resident of Laurel and a supervisor with Prince George's County Public Schools, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds outside his home. Tragically, Stocks was pronounced dead at the scene.
