On August 17, 2020, Jordyn Gregory Brown, a 24-year-old resident of Laurel, Maryland, was found dead inside a car at the Brockbridge Shopping Center on Laurel-Fort Meade Road. Anne Arundel County police responded to a call around 2:23 p.m. reporting an injured person inside a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers discovered Brown in a dark gray 2016 Nissan Altima with an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
