On a Thursday evening, the tragic death of 36-year-old Michael Jordan Thompson of Dundalk unfolded in Laurel, Maryland. The male victim was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds outside a closed business in the 12000 block of Laurel Bowie Road on June 19, 2025. The initial call reporting the shooting came in at approximately 9:00 p.m.
Responding Prince George's County Police officers found Thompson at the scene.
He was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries a short time later and was pronounced dead. The shooting also left another man critically injured. This second victim was transported to an area hospital by private vehicle.
As of now, the circumstances surrounding the shooting, including a possible motive, remain under investigation by the Homicide Unit of the Prince George's County Police Department. Authorities have not yet released any information about a suspect or suspects in the fatal shooting. No arrests have been made in connection with the case. Detectives are actively seeking information from the public to help solve this crime.
