On December 8, 2024, a tragic shooting occurred in Matteson, Illinois, resulting in the death of 20-year-old Antoine Brown from East Chicago, Indiana. The incident took place around 2 p.m. in the 4300 block of Oakwood Lane, a residential area near the Matteson Area Public Library.
