In the winter of 2024, a tragic event unfolded in Albany, Georgia, leading to the death of 41-year-old Lasonya Dawson. On Thursday, December 19, 2024, police were called to a residence on East 4th Avenue where they discovered Ms. Dawson unresponsive, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
