On November 28, 2024, at approximately 4:26 p.m., Miami-Dade Police officers responded to a reported shooting in the vicinity of 13600 Jefferson Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 20-year-old Craig Steven Stroud Jr., known affectionately as "CJ" or "Lil Craig," suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital South in critical condition and was later pronounced deceased.
