Anthony Louis McMiller, a 30-year-old man, was killed on January 2, 2023, in Miami, Florida. The incident occurred near Northwest 15 Avenue and 63 Street in the Model City neighborhood.
According to the Miami Police Department, McMiller's case was one of the several unsolved homicides in Miami for the year 2023. However, it was later closed as a "justifiable shooting" by the authorities.
The area where McMiller was killed is one of the neighborhoods that saw a significant number of homicides in 2023. Model City, along with Little Haiti, accounted for a substantial portion of the unsolved homicide cases in Miami during that year.
The Miami Police Department had released flyers for 12 unsolved homicides in 2023, with four of these cases eventually being closed, including McMiller's. The department encouraged anyone with information about these cases to contact Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers.
