The incident resulted in the death of 18-year-old Geary Lynch, a high school senior and father, who was fatally shot in the head. A 16-year-old male was also involved; he sustained injuries initially believed to be gunshot wounds but were later determined to be road rash.
Investigations suggest that the shooting stemmed from an argument between the victims and suspects in a vehicle. After the shooting, the suspects fled the scene. At this time, no arrests have been made, and authorities are actively seeking information to identify and apprehend those responsible.
