On December 3, 2024, at approximately 10:49 a.m., the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to a shooting at a Denny's restaurant located in the 1200 block of Bladensburg Road NE in Northeast Washington, D.C. Upon arrival, officers discovered 18-year-old Jeremiah Law from Fort Washington, Maryland, suffering from gunshot wounds outside the establishment. Despite immediate medical attention and transport to a local hospital, Law was pronounced dead.
