In the early morning hours of December 26, 2024, the life of 41-year-old Lamar Edmonds, a Black male, was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in Southeast Washington, D.C. At approximately 12:31 a.m., officers from the Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the 2700 block of Fairlawn Avenue. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Edmonds unconscious and suffering from a gunshot wound.
