Upon arrival, they discovered 61-year-old Gregory Burke Estel inside his vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner later confirmed Estel's identity and determined the cause of death to be multiple gunshot wounds, ruling it a homicide.
