On December 15, 2024, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Pomona Police Department officers responded to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 600 block of East Lincoln Avenue, near Emerson Middle School in Pomona, California. Upon arrival, they discovered 61-year-old Gregory Burke Estel inside his vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
