On March 23, 2025, 29-year-old Daniel Jimenez was fatally shot in Pomona, California. Authorities responded to reports of gunfire near North Garey Avenue and West Monterey Avenue, where they discovered Jimenez suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency personnel transported him to a nearby hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries.
Following an investigation, Pomona Police identified 46-year-old Frank Limon, a resident of Fontana, as the primary suspect in the shooting. Limon was arrested on May 10, 2025, in Pomona. He faces multiple charges, including murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, and discharging a firearm at an occupied vehicle. Additional charges include firearm possession as a felon, enhancements under California’s Three Strikes Law, and gang-related allegations.
Limon is currently being held without bail at Men’s Central Jail in Los Angeles. His initial court proceedings took place on May 13 and 14, and he is scheduled for further hearings at Pomona Superior Court on June 26. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting and urge anyone with additional information to contact Pomona Police detectives.
