On August 19, 2013, Manuel Adame, 57, was fatally shot while cleaning a chicken coop at Moark Egg Farm in Turner, Maine. The incident occurred when Michael Warbin, 44, a contractor from Franklin, Connecticut, was using a .22-caliber rifle to eliminate rodents and stray chickens in a dimly lit, 500-foot-long barn.
