On a Sunday evening in Lake Village, Arkansas, the calm was broken by the sound of gunfire. The incident, which occurred around 6:30 p.m. on December 15, 2024, unfolded at the Country Place Apartments on Mulberry Street. When the shooting stopped, two young men had been struck. One of them was 20-year-old Markell Lamber, a male resident of Lake Village. Both he and a 17-year-old boy were rushed to Chicot Memorial Medical Center for their injuries.
