In the early hours of January 5, 2023, Austin police responded to reports of a vehicle crash at The Palms on Lamar apartment complex, located in the 8600 block of North Lamar Boulevard. Upon arrival, first responders discovered 20-year-old Fritzgerald Bissereth unresponsive in the driver's seat, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, Bissereth was pronounced dead at the scene.
