On April 1, 2023, 30-year-old Jehu Patrick Flores was fatally shot in a transient camp behind a clothing store on South Lamar Boulevard in Austin, Texas. Witnesses reported that an argument between Flores and 24-year-old Melcolm Martin Lee escalated, culminating in Lee shooting Flores once in the back of the head.
