Summary based on 6 sources
On February 23, 2023, at approximately 7:54 p.m., Arlington Police Department officers responded to a reported shooting at an apartment complex in the 2200 block of Lincoln Green Circle. Upon arrival, they discovered 27-year-old Camereon Deshun Foster inside a 2010 Chevrolet HHR, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The vehicle was still running and had apparently reversed into a parked car. Foster was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased early the following morning.

Investigators determined that Foster had been involved in high-risk drug activity prior to the shooting. Following a thorough investigation, homicide detectives identified 17-year-old Dontrevan Kenner as a suspect. An arrest warrant was obtained, and members of the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force apprehended Kenner at an apartment complex in Arlington without incident. He was charged with one count of capital murder in connection with Foster's death.

In addition to the capital murder charge, Kenner faced two warrants for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon related to a separate shooting on January 20, 2023, which resulted in two individuals being injured. After his arrest, Kenner was booked into the Arlington City Jail and subsequently transferred to the Tarrant County Jail. Detectives believe that the fatal encounter between Foster and Kenner occurred during an attempted robbery linked to their drug-related activities. The case remains open, with the possibility of additional arrests as the investigation continues.
