On February 24, 2023, 20-year-old Angel Gabriel Hernandez was found deceased near the intersection of Grand Avenue and Prairie Avenue in north Harris County, Houston, Texas. Construction workers discovered his 2011 Acura engulfed in flames, and upon further inspection, Hernandez's body was located approximately 50 yards away in a wooded area. Investigators determined that Hernandez had been fatally shot, and his body had been dragged from the vehicle to the tree line.
