On March 18, 2023, at approximately 11:55 p.m., Houston police officers responded to an assault in-progress call at 6001 Bissonnet Street in southwest Houston. Upon arrival, they discovered 47-year-old Denis A. Granados in a parking lot, suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers administered first aid, and Houston Fire Department paramedics transported Granados to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
