On the evening of March 27, 2023, 51-year-old Michael Shane Stevens was found deceased in his vehicle in an alley in the 2700 block of 25th Street in Lubbock, Texas. Responding to a "check subject" call at approximately 7:58 p.m., Lubbock Police Department officers discovered Stevens with a fatal gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
