On June 7, 2023, at approximately 12:55 a.m., Houston police officers responded to a shooting at 1445 Lakeside Estates Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered 22-year-old Dummene "Lucky" Kponi in the driver's seat of a vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Witnesses reported seeing four males fleeing the scene in a dark-colored SUV.
