On June 10, 2023, at approximately 8:38 p.m., Beaumont police responded to reports of a shooting at Alice Keith Park, located at 4050 Reed Street. Upon arrival, officers encountered a large crowd and discovered two individuals near the park's swimming pool who had sustained critical gunshot wounds. Preliminary investigations indicated that an altercation among a group of juveniles had escalated into gunfire, inadvertently striking two uninvolved bystanders.
