On the evening of June 18, 2023, at approximately 10:16 p.m., Wichita Falls Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire at the Country Park Apartments, located at 5296 Professional Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered 31-year-old Marcus Wilson, a resident of Vernon, Texas, suffering from a gunshot wound. Wilson was promptly transported to United Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
