On July 3, 2023, at approximately 11:47 p.m., a mass shooting occurred in Fort Worth's Como neighborhood during a Fourth of July celebration. Among the three fatalities was 22-year-old Cynthia Guadalupe Santos. The incident also resulted in eight injuries.
