Earlene Hardin Barker, a 55-year-old woman of Caucasian ethnicity, was tragically shot to death on August 10, 1982, in her home in Fort Worth, Texas. She was enjoying her retirement and living with her daughter, Georgia Ann Boteler Reed, who was 34 years old, and her young grandson, Scotty. Also present in the home were Georgia's boyfriend, Bruce Gardner, and Robison's roommate, Rickey Bryant.
