On the evening of July 10, 2023, at approximately 10:10 p.m., Houston police officers responded to a call regarding a person down in the 9100 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard. Upon arrival, they discovered 67-year-old Kenneth Battle lying in a grassy median, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Tragically, Mr. Battle was pronounced dead at the scene.
