On July 21, 2023, 37-year-old Sayed Nawid Lutfi was fatally shot in a road rage incident in Dallas, Texas. The confrontation occurred in the Uptown neighborhood, where Lutfi was attempting to intervene as an unarmed citizen. He was transported to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries with his parents by his side.
