On August 7, 2023, 18-year-old Gregory Orork was fatally shot during a robbery in Southeast Austin, Texas. The incident occurred around 2:22 p.m. in the 5400 block of Freidrich Lane. After the shooting, a friend transported Orork to St. David's South Austin Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after receiving medical treatment.
