On the night of September 26, 2023, in Alice, Texas, 37-year-old Elisabeth Grace Jones was tragically killed in an apparent murder-suicide involving her estranged husband, 44-year-old Jeremy Jones. The Jim Wells County Sheriff's Department received a call around 11:07 p.m. reporting a possible shooting at a residence on Farm-to-Market Road 2044, off Highway 359. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the bodies of Elisabeth and Jeremy Jones in the bathroom, both deceased from gunshot wounds.
