On the night of October 12, 2023, 18-year-old Simon Nguyen of Grand Prairie, Texas, was fatally shot. At approximately 10:40 p.m., friends transported Nguyen to Medical City ER Grand Prairie, where he was pronounced dead by emergency room staff.

Investigations revealed that Nguyen had met with two individuals, Nathan Nix and Nakarius Hall, both 19, in the 1000 block of Coffeyville Trail. The three were reportedly engaged in a "possible high-risk activity" when a disturbance occurred, l ...
