On the night of October 12, 2023, 18-year-old Simon Nguyen of Grand Prairie, Texas, was fatally shot. At approximately 10:40 p.m., friends transported Nguyen to Medical City ER Grand Prairie, where he was pronounced dead by emergency room staff.
