On October 29, 2023, at approximately 2:45 a.m., Fort Worth police responded to a shooting incident in the 4700 block of E. Lancaster Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found two individuals with gunshot wounds. One victim, identified as 28-year-old Semaj Lewis, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was transported to a hospital; however, their condition was not disclosed.
