On January 16, 2024, 17-year-old Jeriyous "Rah-Rah" Wright and 20-year-old Jon'Tavion "Jon-Jon" Allen were tragically found shot to death inside a car parked at an apartment complex on Bickers Street in West Dallas. The two young men, who had shared a brotherly bond for nearly a decade, were well-known in their community for their close friendship and shared activities, including boxing and playing sports together.
The Dallas Police Department launched an investigation into the double homicide, leading to the arrest of two suspects. Eighteen-year-old Ethyn Leang and 20-year-old Francisco Herrera were charged with capital murder in connection with the deaths of Wright and Allen.
