A gathering to honor Obodo's life was held on February 9, 2024, at Broussard's Mortuary in Beaumont, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on February 10 at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church. He was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
