On January 25, 2024, at approximately 9:15 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting incident in the 1000 block of W. Wheatland Road, located in the Red Bird neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers discovered 18-year-old Joshua Porter inside his vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound. Tragically, Porter was pronounced dead at the scene.
