Upon arrival, officers discovered 35-year-old Taikian Brooks suffering from a gunshot wound. Brooks was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Following the incident, the Dallas Police Department launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the individual responsible for Brooks' death.
Their efforts led to the arrest of 26-year-old Travon Ransom, who was charged with murder, evading arrest with a vehicle, and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
