On January 27, 2024, at approximately 11:10 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting incident in the 4900 block of Gaston Avenue, located in East Dallas. Upon arrival, officers discovered 35-year-old Taikian Brooks suffering from a gunshot wound. Brooks was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Following the incident, the Dallas Police Department launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the individual responsible for Brooks' death.
