On the evening of March 1, 2024, 16-year-old Trelynn Derrion Henderson was fatally shot in Dallas, Texas. Dallas police responded to reports of a shooting around 8:50 p.m. in the 3300 block of Southern Oaks Boulevard, near East Illinois Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found Henderson suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office ruled his death a homicide.
