In the early hours of March 2, 2024, Dallas police responded to a call at approximately 2 a.m. in the 3500 block of Southern Oaks Boulevard. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of 38-year-old Victor Bernard Taylor Jr. at an apartment complex. Initially, his death was classified as unexplained. However, later that day, the Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office determined that Taylor had died from a gunshot wound, leading authorities to reclassify the case as a homicide.
