On the evening of January 26, 2025, tragedy struck in Dallas, Texas, as 27-year-old DeElvin Deshaun Smith was fatally shot in the Red Bird area. Dallas police responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 7:35 p.m. in the 4300 block of W. Camp Wisdom Road.
